FAST CARS EXPECTED AT HILL CLIMB

The Sherrill Auto Club hill climb committee is laying plans for a bigger  climb that (sic) it has ever held on Marble Hill, July 30.

There will be considerable interest in this locality. Leon Ryker and Kirk Wagner with his Wagner special, and Carmen Cisella, who gave some  of the fast ones a scare two years ago, will be there with something faster than ever. Ernie Robinson from Utica will be here with a new one. Most of us remember Ernie and his Peerless, and he has something even faster.

There has been 50 invitations sent out to dirt track drivers all over the state so the committee is assured of a large entry and some fast time.

There will be events for amateur drivers as well as professional and if there are any stock cars, owners are asked to send in entry as soon as possible. The events will be:
1st Event - For Fords, Sherrill Auto Club members.
2nd Event - For cars with piston displacement up to 214. Sherrill Club members only.
3rd Event - For cars with piston displacement up to 216. Sherrill Club members only.
4th Event - Open to any car regardless of piston displacement. Open.
5th Event - Slow race to any car regardless of piston displacement. The prize going to the car making the slowest time in high speed.

The committee that will have charge will be George Ormsby, chairman; B. Quain, J. Arquint,
C. Ronsbee, Ray Golley, L. Ryker, H. Oatman, Art Cungey and Kirk Wagner.
